Installation
Install from Google Play
Section titled “Install from Google Play”Download Nibit from the Google Play Store and open the app.
Set up Nibit
Section titled “Set up Nibit”When you open Nibit for the first time, the app walks you through two setup steps.
1. Enable the Accessibility Service
Section titled “1. Enable the Accessibility Service”Tap Open Settings, find Nibit in the accessibility services list, and turn it on. This is what lets Nibit detect your snippet triggers and expand them in place as you type.
Once enabled, return to the app and tap Continue.
Nibit only reads text to detect snippet triggers — it does not log or transmit your keystrokes.
2. Enable the Nibit Keyboard
Section titled “2. Enable the Nibit Keyboard”Tap Open Settings, find Nibit in the keyboards list, and toggle it on. This adds Nibit as a secondary keyboard so you can switch to it from any text field.
Once enabled, return to the app and tap Continue.
When setup is complete, tap Start using Nibit.
Switch to Nibit while typing
Section titled “Switch to Nibit while typing”Once installed, switch to Nibit from any text field:
- Tap the globe icon (🌐) in the bottom-left corner of your keyboard
Select Nibit from the list. Switch back the same way when you’re done.
