Push to Phone
Push lets you send content from one device to another — or to all your devices at once. Think of it as a private, one-off relay: send a URL from your Mac, tap it on your phone. Send a file from your phone to your laptop. No chat app, no clipboard sync, no email-it-to-yourself.
Each pushed item lives for 24 hours by default, then disappears.
What you can push
Section titled “What you can push”- Text — any text, including long-form content
- URLs — links open directly in the browser on the receiving device
- Images — PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP
- Files — PDFs, audio, video, archives, and more
How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”From the Nibit keyboard — tap the Push tab, compose or paste your content, choose a device or send to all, and tap send.
From the web companion — click Push next to any snippet, clipboard item, or use the compose field in the Push tab. The item appears on your Android device instantly.
From the Android app — the Push tab in the home screen shows your inbox and lets you send to connected devices.
Sending to one device or all
Section titled “Sending to one device or all”When you push, you can target a specific device or broadcast to all your registered devices. Useful if you have a phone and a tablet and only want one to receive it.
Security
Section titled “Security”Push messages are end-to-end encrypted. Each device generates its own keypair — your secret key never leaves the device. Messages are encrypted with the recipient’s public key before being stored, so only the target device can read them. Nibit’s servers store only encrypted ciphertext.
File attachments are encrypted separately and stored in a relay bucket with a short TTL (1 hour for files, 24 hours for text by default).
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Text and URL messages are capped at 256 KB.
- Files are capped at 25 MB.
- File attachments expire after 1 hour. Text and URL items default to 24 hours but the TTL is configurable in Settings.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Push requires a Cloud Pro account and at least two registered devices.
