Snippets
Snippets let you store any piece of text — a phrase, a template, a block of code — and expand it instantly by typing a short trigger.
Creating a snippet
Section titled “Creating a snippet”Open the Nibit app → Snippets → +. Give it a trigger and an expansion, then save.
Triggers can be anything: abbreviations (,addr), punctuation-prefixed shortcuts (,sig), or short words that couldn’t appear accidentally (xmeet). Pick something you’d never type by accident.
Expanding a snippet
Section titled “Expanding a snippet”There are two ways to expand a snippet:
Trigger expansion — type your trigger in any app with any keyboard, then press space or return. The accessibility service detects the trigger and expands it in place.
Keyboard tap — switch to the Nibit keyboard, browse or search your snippet list, and tap to insert. Useful when you can’t remember the trigger or want to pick from a list.
To undo an expansion, press backspace once immediately after expanding.
Editing and deleting
Section titled “Editing and deleting”Tap any snippet in the list to edit it. To delete, open the snippet and tap the delete icon.
